ACTING OUT THIS SUMMER: ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS AND BUYER & CELLAR AT ZACH THEATRE

Cool summer theatre for when the weather heats up. The best thing about summer perhaps? We are in luck since Martin Burke stars in One Man, Two Guvnors, on stage at ZACH’s Topfer Theatre from June 1- 26, 2016 directed by Abe Reybold, ZACH Theatre’s Associate Artistic Producer, while J. Robert Moore will star in the hit one-man comedy Buyer & Cellar on the Kleberg Stage from June 8 – August 14, 2016, directed by Nat Miller, ZACH Theatre’s Education Director. Talk about a summer filled with non-stop laughter

One Man, Two Guvnors is a Tony Award-winning modern take on Goldoni’s classic play A Servant of Two Masters. It's the Swingin' Sixties and the easily-confused Francis Henshall attempts to keep his two employers (local gangster Roscoe Crabbe and upper class criminal Stanley Stubbers) from meeting and learning of his dual-employment. It's a laugh-out-loud satirical romp with a live Beatles-era band that keeps the party rockin'.

Running simultaneously in the intimate Kleberg theatre, one-man comedy Buyer & Cellar marks the return of J. Robert Moore as Alex, a struggling Hollywood actor, who takes an outrageous job working in Barbra Streisand’s Malibu dream house in an underground mall housing her showbiz collections. One surprising day, the Funny Girl herself comes downstairs to “shop” and, for Alex, icons who need people are the luckiest people in the world.
