CULTURE CAPITAL: ALEC BALDWIN & KURT ANDERSEN AT THE LONG CENTER 11.15

Leave it to The Long Center for Performing Arts to provide a special evening of humor and political satire with award-winning actor, producer, and comedian Alec Baldwin and bestselling author and host of Studio 360, Kurt Andersen on Wednesday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m. Together they have teamed up to co-author their new book, You Can’t Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year As President (A So Called Parody), and will join the Texas Tribune’s Evan Smith in conversation.

Channeling the spirit of deeper truth, Saturday Night Live veteran and America’s presidential-impersonator-in-chief, Baldwin, and America’s foremost Trump scholar, Andersen, will share an intimate, first-hand account of all the magic and “fact-checking” that went into their new book, and the story of everything that goes on behind the scenes of making America great again. Until Donald Trump publishes the ultimate account of his entire four or eight or one-and-a-half years in the White House, the definitive chronicle might be You Can’t Spell America Without Me.

For this one night only, Baldwin and Andersen will take the Long Center stage, and the event will partner with the Alamo Drafthouse to live stream to participating Drafthouse locations across the U.S.
