HAUTE ESTATE OF BEING: DOLLIE COLE ESTATE SALE DRAWING RECORD CROWDS IN TEXAS

It’s here, it’s here. After much anticipation, the estate sale of the decade is finally here – starting today. Now’s the time to add to your unique collection, or perhaps, start one, right? Look no further. We’ve just previewed the estate sale to end all estate sales… and this one is in Central Texas’ Lockhart, mainly known for BBQ and ranching.

Philanthropist Dollie Cole, a Fort Worth native who rose to the social ranks when she married Ed Cole, the former president of General Motors in the 1960s, passed away last year leaving her family with a treasure trove of items that will comprise this unique estate sale at their 130-acre Briar Patch Ranch. There’s something for everyone…

This truly exceptional sale has a plethora of items relating to Mrs. Cole's grand lifestyle. The furs, jewelry, furniture and so many other interesting social artifacts in bulk lend themselves to this cornucopia of collections. The property includes a large home and several outbuildings that are all filled with top-quality, unique treats, also part of the auction.

Throughout the weekend sales that occur over two months, there will also be a special shopping bazaar on the large terrace with themed pavilions modeled after those seen in Mexico, Africa, Asia, and other locales where Cole traveled, as well as a pavilion featuring the Corvette Club and auto industry related items, as an homage to Ed Cole.

You’ll likely recognize the ranch since it’s been seen in tons of TV and film, most recently, Robert Rodriguez’s “Dust Till Dawn” series on El Rey TV.
