An Austin tradition, The Garage & Estate Sale (The Sale) is a multi-day shopping experience that gives attendees a unique opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind treasures at jaw-dropping prices. From gently used electronics and household items to designer clothing to vintage finds—there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We support it every year and love attending.

The Sale is much more than just a shopping experience. It is an annual fundraising event in which every purchase makes a difference in the lives of youth in foster care. Proceeds generated at The Sale go to support The Settlement Home for Children (The Home), which serves individuals who have experienced severe emotional trauma, abuse, and neglect.

Located in Austin on a 10-acre campus, we love that The Home is a licensed nonprofit that provides 24-hour care to help children in foster care access the support they need to restore and preserve a permanent sense of well-being. The Home’s programs build a foundation for children so that they can develop a set of skills and beliefs that lead to self-efficacy. The mission of The Home is to promote healing and growth in children, young adults, and families by providing a continuum of care, support, and resources.
